Yuli Kim is seriously ill and needs our help!

out that unfortunately
things are really sad.
The information is below and what is needed is
rather obvious -
donations. I am sure that some of the kspus mailing
list recepients will
find some money to help. Of course feel free to
re-distribute this email to
your friends so that more people could help.

Yuli Kim, one of the last living bards-"classics" is
seriously ill. At
the present time, he is receiving medical treatment
in Israel where he
had been caring for his wife who died of cancer a
couple of months ago.
The extent of his own illness was revealed only
recently, after he
underwent a serious surgery. Because Kim's
prescribed treatment will
last for at least six months during which he will be
not be capable of
supporting himself (composing, performing, etc.), he
needs our help.
The major problem is not the cost of medical care
which is provided to
him for free by the state of Israel. Rather, it's
the cost of the
appartment that Kim and his wife rented when they
came to Israel hoping
that she could be saved. Because of a continuing
treatment, his return
to Moscow (something Kim always planned) is out of
question now, so he's
stuck with the apartment which costs much more than
he can afford right
now. The money he gets from the government is enough
only for food and
basic needs.
Close friends of Kim who know him well say that he
will never admit to
anybody that he needs help. So they started making
collections with the
modest goal of raising of about $5,000 which will
pay for his rent for
the next 6 monts thus temporarily freeing him at
least from the
financial worries.

Обращение ко всем КСП,авторам,исполнителям и почитателям авторской песни
Авторская песня с момента возникновения была и есть жизнеутверждающей и создатели её классических образцов - М.Анчаров, Б.Окуджава , В.Высоцкий ,Ю.Визбор, А.Городницкий, Ю.Кукин, Е.Клячкин ,В.Берковский, А.Дулов,Ю.Ким,С.Никитин - обладали и обладают "искусством живой и искренней интонации веры в лучшее,веры в людей" /Ю.М.Лотман/.Возможно отсюда и современный размах, и распространение движения КСП по всем городам и весям.Песни бардов помогали персонально каждому из нас обрести себя в непонятную трудную минуту и "не пропасть по одиночке". Помните,как негромко убеждал Булат Шалвович Окуджава,-"пока не грянула пора нам расставаться понемногу, возьмёмся за руки,друзья...".Конечно, не совсем реально и невозможно постоянно держаться за руки во времени и пространстве, но есть моменты истины,когда без этого не обойтись... Поступила очень тревожная информация : Юлий Черсанович Ким серьезно болен и безотлагательно нуждается в длительном и дорогостоящем лечении - в течении полугода он будет находиться в одном из госпитальных центров Израиля.Для тех ,кто из Вас,наши дорогие коллеги и соратники, сочтет возможным и необходимым помочь в этой беде,сообщаем адрес банка и номер счета:

Кроме личных пожертвований ,существует возможность проведения благотворительнх концертов .Два таких концерта проводят КСП "Полуостров" в Пало Алто(11/20) и КСП "Душа" в Сан Диего,
